Terms of Service

Version 1.1.0

Last updated: 18 October 2026

These terms cover your use of InterviewSparrow — an AI interviewer that runs a spoken, screen-shared interview and produces an evidence-backed report. You can use it to practise for yourself, or an employer can set up an interview and receive the report. By creating an account or starting a session, you agree to them.

Who we are

InterviewSparrow ("InterviewSparrow", "we", "us") is operated by Globebots IT Solutions Private Limited (CIN U62099UP2023PTC179591), 643 Shakti Khand-4, Indirapuram, Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh 201014, India. You can reach us at support@interviewsparrow.ai.

These terms are an agreement between you and InterviewSparrow. If you are using InterviewSparrow on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to accept these terms for it.

Accepting these terms is not the same as agreeing to how we handle your personal data. That is described in the Privacy Policy, and where a use of your data needs your agreement we ask for it separately, at the point it applies: the cookie choices, the benchmark contribution setting on Your data, the Resume Studio processing notice you confirm before Resume Studio first reads your resume, and the notice shown before an interview an employer set up.

What InterviewSparrow is — and is not

InterviewSparrow runs a spoken interview with an AI interviewer, then produces a written report scoring how you came across across seven dimensions, with evidence drawn from your own answers.

A session you run for yourself is practice and feedback only: it is not a job interview or a hiring decision, and it is not career, legal, or psychological advice. An interview an employer set up is part of that employer’s hiring process — see Interviews an employer sets up. We do not guarantee any interview result, job offer, or score. Use the feedback as one input, not a verdict.

Your account

You need an account to use InterviewSparrow. You must be at least 18 years old, give accurate information, verify your email, and keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account.

One person, one account. Creating multiple accounts to evade the limits on the service is a breach of these terms. To enforce that, we run duplicate-signup checks when you register: we match email addresses that differ only cosmetically, and we limit how many accounts can be created from one network address or one device.

Trying InterviewSparrow before you buy

There is no free interview beyond the sign-up bonus. Every interview on InterviewSparrow is paid for with credits, and the only credits you hold before you buy any are the 4 credits every new account receives when sign-up completes.

What you can see without paying is the demo on our home page: screenshots of the real interview and report screens, shown with a scripted sample interview and a made-up sample report, so you can judge the product before you spend anything. The demo is not a session — it is not scored, it is not about you, and it does not produce a report.

If you took a free trial before we withdrew it, the report from that session stays in your account and stays readable. Nothing you already have is taken away.

What you buy, pricing and payment

There are no subscriptions or recurring charges. Credits are prepaid interview time that you buy before you use it. One credit is 3 minutes, so a 30-minute interview uses 10 credits and a 60-minute interview uses 20. You can buy credits in packs or top up a few credits at a time, up to 9; the packs and amounts available to you are the ones shown at checkout. Credits from separate purchases add together into one balance, which can hold up to 600 credits, and any interview whose credits that balance covers can be started. A Resume Pass and a Bundle are one-time purchases, with no subscription and no auto-renew.

A Resume Pass opens the paid parts of Resume Studio for the number of days shown at checkout, counted from when your payment is confirmed: applying a rewrite to your draft, tailoring it to a job, AI edits to single lines, and downloading PDF and Word files. While a Pass is open you can run up to 10 rewrites and 60 AI edits a day, and the count starts again each day at midnight UTC. If you buy a Pass while one is still open, its days are added after the open one ends. A Bundle is a Resume Pass together with the credits shown at checkout, and those credits follow the same rules as any other credits. When a Pass ends, the files you have already downloaded stay yours.

Prices are region-based, and the price you see at checkout is the price you pay, including any tax we are required to charge. Payment is processed by our payment provider, Razorpay; InterviewSparrow never stores your full card details.

  • Credits you buy do not expire.
  • The credits for an interview are used the moment you start it (after the pre-flight check).
  • If an employer set up your interview, that organisation pays for it from its own balance of credits — you are not charged for the interview itself.
  • Unlocking your own coaching report on an interview an employer set up uses 7 credits for a 30-minute interview or 14 for a 60-minute one, or you can pay its price at checkout instead.
  • The sign-up bonus is 4 credits, given once per person when you complete sign-up. It expires 30 days after you sign up if you have not used it. It has no cash value, cannot be transferred to anyone, and is not refundable.

Refunds and make-goods

Purchases are not refundable for cash, except if we stop providing InterviewSparrow altogether (see Availability and changes to the service). If an interview fails because of a problem on our side — for example an interviewer outage, a session that never produces a report, or a backend error — we give you back the credits it used, so you are not charged for something you did not receive.

A Resume Pass or a Bundle is not refundable for cash either. If Resume Studio fails on our side — for example a run that errors before it finishes, or an Output that does not generate — we make it good with a re-run, a regenerated Output or a Pass extension. A Pass extension adds days to the time your Pass is open: up to 30 days for one claim, and one claim extends a Pass once. None of these remedies is paid out as cash.

To claim a make-good, raise it from Help & feedback in your account, choosing Get help, within 7 days of the failure, and say which interview or Output it concerns. A make-good is granted against a request raised from your account, so if you write to support@interviewsparrow.ai instead we will ask you to raise it there. When our systems detect that an interview failed on our side, the credits come back without a claim.

We do not issue make-goods for problems outside our control, such as your microphone, network, or browser, or for choosing to end a session early.

Nothing in this section takes away a right to cancel a purchase, or to a refund, that the consumer law where you live gives you and that cannot be excluded by contract.

Recording and AI processing

Every InterviewSparrow interview is spoken and screen-shared: you share your whole screen for the length of the session, and in an interview an employer set up you also keep your webcam on. InterviewSparrow records your spoken answers and processes them with AI to transcribe the session and generate your report. The live voice interview runs on ElevenLabs, a third-party provider, on its global infrastructure, so your voice may be processed outside India. Recording and processing your answers is how the service works: we do it to run the interview you started and to produce your report. The pre-flight check before every session tells you that it is recorded.

In a practice session you run for yourself, your camera is not used: nothing from it is recorded, sent to us or to any provider, or kept, and the session runs no proctoring. Your screen is not recorded as video. Only while the role exercise runs — which the interviewer starts and ends — still images of your screen go to Anthropic’s Claude models through OpenRouter, a provider based in the United States, so the interviewer can follow your work and the exercise can be scored; an interview with no exercise sends none, and no image of your screen goes to ElevenLabs. The still images we keep are snapshots of the work on your screen — the diagram or code you produce. They are taken while your screen is used, on a clock and whenever your work changes, and they are not deleted after 30 days: they are kept until you delete them, because they are what the report scores your applied work from. Deleting your account deletes them.

In an interview an employer set up, your screen and camera are also recorded as one video, and the interview is monitored: still images from your webcam, as well as of your screen, go to the same model through OpenRouter to check the conditions the interview is taken in. Your browser also measures head and eye position from your camera, on your own device, to tell whether you are looking at the screen; those measurements are never sent to us or stored, and only a flagged moment — with the webcam frames from the few seconds around it — reaches us. The organisation that set up the interview can watch that recording, and it is deleted after 30 days. Frames the monitoring flags in that interview are kept as evidence the organisation can see, and are also deleted after 30 days. The snapshots of your on-screen work are shown to that organisation alongside your report. The consent notice shown before that interview starts names the organisation and says what it will receive.

If an organisation’s interview also asks for your phone as a second camera, you connect the phone with a link we email to you or show as a QR code on your laptop, with no sign-in. From the start of the interview to its end, the phone records video of you, your desk and your laptop, with no sound; the organisation can watch that recording, and it is deleted after 30 days. Before the interview starts, the phone’s picture is shown live on your laptop, sent directly between your two devices and never recorded. Nothing the phone records is sent to an AI model or checked automatically. What the phone records is used only to provide that interview to the organisation.

Some processing happens through third-party providers (see the Privacy Policy for the full list). You can delete your account, subject to the exceptions under Suspension and termination, and ask us to remove individual sessions.

Interviews an employer sets up

An organisation can create an InterviewSparrow workspace and invite its own team into it. Whoever accepts these terms for an organisation confirms they are authorised to do so.

The organisation buys credits into a pool held by the workspace rather than by a person, and anyone on its team can top that pool up. Interviews the organisation sets up, including any phone-camera add-on (1 extra credit per interview), are paid for from that pool.

When an organisation invites you as a candidate, you create your own InterviewSparrow account and take the same interview. The organisation receives a report on that interview: a recommendation, scores across the seven dimensions, the quotes from your answers those scores were drawn from, notes on the session conditions, the transcript, and the recording described above — and, where the interview used your phone as a second camera, the phone recording. Your account stays yours, and a coaching report you unlock for yourself (see What you buy, pricing and payment) is separate from the one the organisation receives.

For a job it sets up, an organisation can add your resume and set requirements that InterviewSparrow checks automatically against it — for example a skill the resume must list. If your resume does not meet one, the organisation sees you as Not qualified for that job, and it can override that. InterviewSparrow also places the candidates who have an interview score in an order for the job. These are inputs to the organisation’s decision: the organisation decides whom to progress.

A report is one input into a hiring decision, not the decision. The organisation is responsible for how it uses the report and for complying with the employment and data-protection law that applies to it. InterviewSparrow does not make the hiring decision.

  • InterviewSparrow and the organisation each answer for their own use of interview data. InterviewSparrow sets how the interview runs, how it is scored, how long it keeps anything and when it deletes it; the organisation decides whom to invite, what requirements to set for a job, and what to do with the report. Until a candidate accepts the organisation’s invitation, InterviewSparrow holds the resume and details the organisation adds for that candidate on the organisation’s behalf, to set up the interview and to check the candidate against the job’s requirements; the organisation is responsible for having a lawful basis to share them with us and for telling the candidate. Questions about your data held by InterviewSparrow come to us at the address in the Privacy Policy; questions about a hiring decision go to the organisation.
  • An organisation must have a lawful basis for screening you, must not use a report to discriminate on any protected characteristic, and must not treat the recommendation, the requirement checks or the ranking as an automated decision made without human involvement.
  • An organisation may share a candidate’s report inside its own workspace and with people involved in that hiring decision. It must not publish it, sell it, or pass it to an unrelated third party.
  • An organisation is responsible for what its own team does in its workspace, including anyone it invites, and for keeping its member list current when people leave.
  • An organisation will defend InterviewSparrow against, and indemnify it for, any third-party claim, regulatory action, fine or penalty, and the reasonable costs of meeting it, to the extent it arises from the organisation’s screening or hiring decisions, its use or disclosure of a report, the candidate data it gives us, its breach of these terms, or its failure to comply with the employment, anti-discrimination, AI-in-hiring or data-protection law that applies to it. InterviewSparrow will tell the organisation promptly about the claim, let it control the defence and help at its cost; the organisation will not settle a claim in a way that admits fault for InterviewSparrow without InterviewSparrow’s written consent. Nothing here limits your rights as a candidate against either of us.

Your content and our intellectual property

You keep ownership of what you put in — your resume, job descriptions, and the answers you speak. You grant InterviewSparrow the licence needed to host, process, and analyse that content so we can run your session and produce your report.

The resume content InterviewSparrow generates for you is yours. InterviewSparrow assigns to you whatever rights it may hold in that content, so you may use, edit, publish and share it for any purpose, including job applications, with no further permission needed.

The design of the InterviewSparrow resume templates — their layout, typography and styling — and the InterviewSparrow name and marks remain InterviewSparrow’s. You may produce and share your own resume from a template, but you may not copy, resell or redistribute a template itself.

InterviewSparrow owns the platform, the interviewer behaviour, the scoring rubric, and the report format. We only use anonymised data to improve benchmarks if you have opted in to benchmark contribution (see the Privacy Policy); you can use InterviewSparrow fully without opting in.

Acceptable use

  • Do not misuse, overload, scrape, or attempt to reverse-engineer the service.
  • Do not share, resell, or transfer your account or your credits.
  • Do not upload unlawful content or content you do not have the right to share.
  • Do not use InterviewSparrow to harass others or to impersonate someone else.

Availability and changes to the service

We work to keep InterviewSparrow available but cannot promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may add, change, or remove features, and we may perform maintenance that briefly affects availability.

If we stop providing InterviewSparrow altogether, we refund the unused, paid part of what was bought: the unused credits you bought, the unused credits in an organisation’s balance, and the days left on a paid Resume Pass, in proportion to the price paid for them. Nothing given free, as the sign-up bonus, a make-good or with a full-discount coupon, is refunded.

Suspension and termination

You can stop using InterviewSparrow at any time, and delete your account from the Your Data page. Deleting starts a 30-day period in which you can cancel; after it, your data is deleted as the Privacy Policy describes. Two exceptions: while you belong to an organisation’s workspace, you must leave it before you can delete your account (if you are its only admin, first make someone else an admin or delete the workspace); and if you took an interview an employer set up in the last 30 days, you can delete your account once 30 days have passed since that interview. If one of them starts to apply during the 30-day period, the deletion is cancelled, and you can ask for it again once it no longer applies. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms or that we reasonably believe is being used for abuse or fraud.

If we close your account because you broke these terms, any credits you have not used and any days left on a Resume Pass are forfeited and not refunded. If you delete your account, they are deleted with it and are not refunded. We keep a one-way hash of your email address so that the deletion holds; that address cannot be used to create a new InterviewSparrow account.

Disclaimers

InterviewSparrow is provided "as is" and "as available". AI-generated transcripts and reports can contain mistakes and may not reflect your true ability. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under consumer protection law that cannot be excluded by contract, including your right in India to complain about a deficiency in service under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, InterviewSparrow is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, or for lost opportunities or job outcomes. Otherwise, our total liability to you for all claims arising out of or relating to these terms or InterviewSparrow, taken together, is limited to the greater of the amount you paid InterviewSparrow in the 12 months before the event that gave rise to the first claim and US$100 (or ₹5,000 if your prices are in rupees). Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for wilful misconduct, or for anything else that the law that applies to you does not allow to be limited, and nothing in them affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

Complaints and grievance officer

If something has gone wrong, tell support first — from Help & feedback in your account, or at support@interviewsparrow.ai. If that does not settle it, or you want to make a formal complaint, write to our grievance officer.

Our grievance officer, for consumer complaints and for DPDP matters, is Harish Seth. You can write to him at support@interviewsparrow.ai, or by post to our registered office, at the address under Who we are in the Terms of Service.

We acknowledge every complaint within 48 hours and resolve it within one month of receiving it.

If you are not satisfied with how we resolved it, you can get help from the National Consumer Helpline (call 1915), file a consumer complaint with the Consumer Commission online on e-Daakhil, and take a complaint about how we handle your personal data to the Data Protection Board of India. If you live outside India, you can also use your local consumer or data-protection authority.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to them, except that if you are a consumer you keep your right to bring a complaint before a Consumer Commission or court where you live or work, and any stronger rights your local consumer law gives you. If you use InterviewSparrow for an organisation, any dispute between the organisation and InterviewSparrow will be finally settled by arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, before a sole arbitrator, seated in New Delhi, in English.

General

Transfer. You may not transfer these terms, your account or your credits. InterviewSparrow may transfer these terms to a company in its group or to a buyer of all or most of its business, and will tell you in the product if it does; your rights under them are not reduced.

Severability. If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, the rest stays in effect, and that part applies as far as the law allows.

Whole agreement. These terms are the whole agreement between you and InterviewSparrow about the service. The Privacy Policy and the notices you confirm in InterviewSparrow describe how we handle your personal data; they are not part of this agreement.

Events outside our control. We are not responsible for a failure or delay caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as a failure of the internet or of power, or government action; this does not reduce the make-goods in Refunds and make-goods.

Survival. The sections on your content and our intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, the organisation’s responsibilities, governing law and complaints continue after your account ends.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. When a change is material, we show a notice in InterviewSparrow when the new version takes effect and ask you to accept it; the notice keeps showing until you do. If you keep using InterviewSparrow after that notice has been shown to you, you accept the updated terms. If you do not agree, you can stop using InterviewSparrow and delete your account as described above.
